Today was my sister’s Latino/Chicano graduation. She graduated from California State University, Long Beach. This girl is the perfect example of a hardworking, independent, determined, goal-oriented individual. My baby girl makes me so proud! I am so happy to call this girl my sister, my idol, and my motivation! She has shown me, “que si se puede.” No matter how many obstacles were put in her path, she accomplished her goal! She is the first person to graduate from our family and I couldn’t be any prouder! My big sister has accomplished so much and I know she has so many dreams to fulfill still! There is no doubt in my mind that she will make it! She really will. I love you mamas! I am so honored to call you my hermana!
